Sources & About
This site tells the story of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud and the founding of the Third Saudi State, in English and Arabic.
The source
It is based on “Al-Hukm Lillah Thumma Li-Abdulaziz”, an episode of Thmanyah’s Fnjan podcast published on 22 September 2024, in which Dr. Talal Al-Tarifi, professor of modern and contemporary history at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, tells the story of the King. The text on this site is our own retelling of that conversation. Any errors are ours, not the podcast’s.
How it is written
- Every paragraph is checked against the episode. Where the episode is unclear, or where other accounts differ, the text says so or leaves the detail out.
- Dates are given in the Hijri calendar (AH). A Gregorian year is added where the episode gives one.
- The English and Arabic versions say the same thing, paragraph by paragraph.
